The Challenge

Artificial intelligence was rapidly becoming a strategic priority for BSU, not just for internal operations but as a foundation for future customer solutions. BSU wanted to move beyond experimentation and create a dedicated capability that could define their AI vision, evaluate opportunities and turn ideas into practical solutions. Building such a team requires a rare combination of architectural thinking, software engineering, cloud expertise and AI experience, a profile that is difficult to find and scale quickly in today's market.

The Approach

Together with BSU, we established a dedicated AI Architecture Team through our Team as a Service model. The focus was on building a cohesive team capable of supporting BSU's long-term AI ambitions. The team operates as an extension of BSU's technology organisation, working closely with management, stakeholders and technical teams to identify opportunities, define priorities and deliver results. By combining strategic thinking with hands-on engineering, the team bridges the gap between AI ambition and real-world implementation.

The Team

The AI Architecture Team brings together professionals who combine deep technical expertise with a clear understanding of how AI creates business value. The team includes AI architects who define the overall AI strategy and technical standards, software and backend engineers who build the solutions, Azure cloud specialists who design the infrastructure, and AI engineers focused on model development and integration. What makes the team effective is not only their individual expertise, but their ability to work as one integrated unit within BSU's organisation.

The Solution

The team supports BSU in developing and executing its AI roadmap: identifying high-value opportunities, defining architecture standards, evaluating emerging technologies, designing scalable cloud-native solutions and building proof-of-concepts that can grow into production-grade platforms. The objective is not to build individual AI applications, but to create a long-term capability that enables continuous innovation. The team is active today and continues to grow alongside BSU's AI ambitions.
